So much character though...
Nice modular design, too. There are people still making galvanized chassis for them and selling cars 'rebuilt from the ground up' for £7k.
Bit too expensive for me.

The new Merc SLK headlights turn with the steering wheel, so you can see where you are about to go, not sure if old Citroens do though

Not sure that the SM did, but the facelifted model DS did - amazing achievement when it was released! Merc SLK Chris? Pffft... 30 years too late to be innovative!

The SM has a Maserati V6 which has the AC compressor running off the FAR end of the cam. Needless to say, they're prone to snapping cams...
cheers

well im sorry guys it aint gonna be a 960 after all
coz me dads coming to live here with us ( and you thought I was old !!!)
we need a proper 6 + seater ( not a 960 estate with rear seats as the kids are to big for them )
next week I will become the proud ? owner of a Hyundai Trajet
( or highanddry tragic as they are sometimes called by people who have never driven one )
but me being me ,I have found one of the rarer 2.7 V6 models with leather and all the toys
