Would a wiring loom on a 940 turbo be the same as a n/a loom? I reckon it would be, but could do with someone else confirming that.
I'm gueesing the ECU itself would be different though.
Turbo vs n/a wiring loom

the differences are powerstage (on 2.2) ballast resistors for the inj. everything else can be swapped. your mass air wires will have to be moved over too. fyi, you can run upto 6 psi on non-turbo computers.
go to t-bricks if you wanna learn about getting a car like mine

They're almost exactly the same. The only difference I know about off the top of my head is that the turbos don't have the WOT switch connected. There are bound to be others, but consult Haynes / VADIS (or get someone kind with both of the above to help you). I'd expect you to be able to get the wrong loom and patch it easily. Do bear in mind that they changed some of the connectors at some point between 93 and 98....nearer 93 IIRC. I think it's just the body > engine bay loom connectors, so maybe it won't be a problem (since you'll take them both together from the donor) - just be aware of it.
Both have knock, neither have IAT, boost control or MAP....again off the top of my head.
Aaron - we never got 2.2 on redblocks here - only on the PRVs. We went straight from K-Jet (NA) or Motronic (turbo) to LH2.4.
cheers

er, beg to differ, but I had to work on a 940 turbo auto the other day and it most certainly had knock sensing and boost control, the others are an educated guess, and may well not be there, this particular car developed a running fault after the rear main oil seal was replaced, (by another place) turned out they had put the flexi plate on in the wrong position, which had the tdc reference mark on it, hey presto, 60 degrees of ignition timing, pinking even when reved up in neutral and an ecu shouting knock sensor fault codes.... took a wile to sus out what had gone wrong though!
have to say its a poor idea on volvos side to make it so you can put the flywheel/flexi plate on in any position though

I didn't word it too well either...
The three port boost solenoid is part of the 188bhp Turbo+ kit (13psi above ~4000rpm at WOT). I have one of those kits here, but couldn't get it working (remember I called you asking about the Amal valve?). The standard setup is a direct connection from compressor housing to wastegate.
cheers
