front brake calipers

Hi there

Need some info for my friends 740

The dust shield behind the front discs is very rusty and is starting fall apart. Are these integral with the strust or can they be removed and replaced?

The brakes are quite squeeky, maybe this rust plate and the rust caliper surface is the source of the fine particles that are getting trapped under the brakes and causing the squeek? Alternatively, the caliper is sticking on the rods its slides on ( had this on my 340 and causes squeeking )

Those dust shields are removable.
To do this, you have to first remove brakediscs.
