I stopped getting e-mail updates on this thread - sorry Aaron. I have one set waiting for you, but I haven't made it back to yard since with time to spare to pull a set.

If someone else has a set, that'll make the necessary 16.

Since some pikey stole my 3/8" to 1/4" adaptor, I've only been able to pull lifters from early B172Ks that don't use 9mm nuts to hold the cover on.

Shims? I guess you can get them from the Volvo dealer, but surely you can just pop round the corner to your local friendly 'speed shop' and they'll have a cave full of shims to fit any diameter tappet you could care to mention?
