NOOOOO!!! You are buying a Vauxhell???
In holland "Vauxhall" is known as "Opel".
We call it Slopel (SLOPEn = to demolisch, wreck) That's all they're good for!
You need to be exorcised!!!
If it HAS to be a VH, make it an early make Manta...

Been meaning to get round to posting some pics but have a few little things to finish off first. Just been away in Greece and the baby takes up a silly amount of time.....
The 3 Door takes some dedication to use as a family car, believe me. Fortunately, Nancy doesn't seem to mind being swung about in her chair into the back seat... I really really need something more practical... Been thinking about a Mitsubishi Delica - all that space and 4x4 goodness. Couldn't bear to give up the old Mk2 though.
Will post pics soon once decks have been cleared and car tidied up properly!
Remove slash from grill, remove grill surround. Cut all centre sections out of grill, smooth and fill between all old bars. smooth, paint and refit mesh in between frame and surround.
Sounds easy which it is if you are a patient person, but to get them, spot on it take hours of filling.
Adam
By fill i mean fill in the holes you create in the bottom of the grill centre. You need to use a plastic bumper filler for this not body filler. Sorry no pics.

Yeah i've also had a go at that type, bloody hard to do and after hours and hours of filling and smoothing im still not happy with the result, mesh is a LOT easier!
edit: Just noticed Adam has given you the steps for making a grill that looks like that badge has just been removed. To make a mesh grill you need to remove the grill from the car, then you should be able to unclip the centre section so that you're just left with a frame. Then get some mesh and attach it to the frame (used a combination of hot melt (gluegun) and gaffer tape on mine). Then either unclip the volvo badge/diagonal thing from the old grill and glue gun it to the mesh or use a badge from the side of the car, hope that helps,
cheers
