I know that they say you should never swerve, but I'd have trouble not to. I know it obviously differs on different roads, and country lanes where you can't pass easily, then it's no more dangerous a few feet to the right.
Personally I'll try harder to avoid an animal than a human, as they should know better
That reminds me, I was at a junction with a main road a few days ago, crawling slowly up to it as other cars waited. then I was creaping out (relativly blind junction), and see it's clear so I go, and my dad shouts stop!
I look, and a cyclist has just passed me on the left as I'm pulling out to turn left!! I don't know if they were on the pavement or what, I was near the curb, and there is no pavement on the road we were joining. If dad hadn't shouting I would probably have turned into her, and you know the law, cyclists are always in the right
So I flew past her fast, hopefully it gave her a little scare
