Blueline Progress

Well i have had a bit of spare time now the weather is getting better and i have started to tackle the blueline again!!! My main work now is going to be sorting out the bodywork!!! The previous owner thought it would do a world of good to touch up all the stone chips with a 2" brush!!! what a bloody mess!!!!
Anyway i have managed to get the marks out with some wet n dry paper. Just some pics to show how it does clean up!!!

youll get there Adam, body work dosent look toooo shabby,

shame about the dink in the blue trim on the front bumper ,
I know how fragile and brittle they get from the redline ones,
will you be able to replace it ?

what happened to the stripe on the front doors I should think they are going to be fun to replicate, are they replacement doors ?hence the missing stripe.

also unlike the redline I notice the blueline used to have a trim level badge on the boot ( GLE I suspect ) where as the redline is just badged as a 340

I didnt realize that unlike the redline , the bluline dos not have a blueline logo on it or should there be one on the boot ?

good luck with what imo is a very worthwhile project

Is those redlines and bluelines any different than "regular" models, except blue or red stripes in bumpers?

depending on model they have a red or blue edging to the seats
this is the redline

redlines are a bit basic , manual windows mirrors etc but I believe the blueline had the econometer and ambient temp gauge as standard

As to all your questions Mick, the front bumper stripe is still available. The bonnet, both front doors and tailgate have all been replaced hence the missing decals!! This is all to be sorted by the place that did my alloy vinyls!! As for the badging on the back its badged 340 GL.

So red and bluelines are basicmodels but they only have those stripes in bumbers and seats..and maybe extragauges

I think those are also one of those models which arent delivered to Finland

..We only have DL, GL, GLS, few GLEs and GLTs.
And we also doesnt have aircons, powerwindows or mirrors, rearglass wipers or anything specialthings which you guys have

Once i had chance to get leatherseats but drivers seat were missing

But even we doesnt have those luxurythings..we have manufactors R-Sport turbopackage

Wish I'd realised Adam, the front drivers door and tailgate weren't too bad on that Blueline I found. There should be a lil blueline logo, just like the redline one, under the 340 badge, I'm not sure what the scrappy had, might have been GL 1.7 on the bootlid, but I could be wrong

yeh i etched it before i replaced the bootlid so my vinyl place can make one up!!!

Like i said the blueline is needing TLC in the bodywork department so last weekend i repainted the tops of teh wings with a touch up aerosol, not the best but better than before!!! Oh and a few more pics of both my cars are in the family album!!!
