Help,

I have to claim mileage in my job and as luck should have it the speedo trip and odometer have decided to pack up

Can't find a working one anywhere and I will need a mortgage to get a new one from Volvo - anyone know of one lying around?

Also (Pete) I am still looking for an Econometer and Temp Guage for the 'empty' slots in my instrument panel

Is it the speedo cable or the actual speedo/odo head that's broken? There is a fixing guide somewhere that I think Adam wrote up..

Failing that I do have a spare speedo head... but if its recording neither speed or miles then I reckon it'll be the cable

It is recording speed no problem - just the miles are dead

I had a fast look at the speedo for repair - not a chance I fear, I got a handful of broken bits

.
So anyone ends up with a speedo or sees one in a scrappy that works let me know -pleeeeease

The same goes for the instrument guages (If I am ever that lucky)

same thing happened to me!!

the worm gear for the trip jams so even though the speedo drives both this and the speed gauge you can get speed only and no milage....

I think Adam has a spare binnacle... I was going to have it as a spare but sounds like you need it more than me

Ahhh, yes, I've been somewhat busy, but that jogged my memory! Good holiday? So, I can probably help you out with an ambient temp gauge, but sadly not an econ. I'll have a look through at some point and sort one out.

Econ seems to be sorted - amb temp guage

that was part 2. Now all I need is to work out how these things are fitted

The holiday was pretty damn good - enjoyed by us all - especially the little one

Once you've done it, fitment is simple really! It's just finding the fiddly bits, where they go and perfecting the art of dash cluster removal!

So, to recap as I've been a tad off the button lately with my absence, you've got an econ gauge, and did you get the ambient temp gauge on the bay?

I have an Econ guage now next to me but no ambient temp yet - the fight on e-bay is fierce for those bits

So if you have a spare ambient guage - I would be interested
