If it doesn't sit properly, it may just be the two plastic sliding clips that are screwed onto the body that the bumper slides onto. Cheaper fix!

Or the tags on the bumper irons could be bent, i had this! ALthough body lines are not always the best on 300's!! You can get them pretty good if you keep adjusting them though!!

Hi, welcome to the club. I haven't seen the pictures of your car on VOC - so post some on here! :D

If the car's had some front end action, the valance itself might be bent. It's not that hard a job to remove the plastic bumper, get some heat on the valance and hammer it back into shape. I did this recently on my rear bumper and once put back together you can't really tell that it was ever damaged. If you've got cracks in the plastic then that's another story.

I bought a new wing off Euro Car Parts once but that was a good few years ago and I suspect they don't support the 300 anymore. There's an outfit called Hadrian based in Bathgate West Lothian who had a lot of diverse Volvo 300 panels on eBay recently. Adam of 340GLT fame has had dealings with them and can probably give you a phone number.

Welcome Iain! Hope you get your mishap sorted out asap! I suggest a working party come to take a look at the car some time, if you'd like....check diff oil levels...those sort of fiddly jobs. Maybe one Sunday for an hour or two before / after a Crooked Billet meet?

George Mitchell informs me that Volvo will be pressing NEW panels when stocks run out...or so says his contact at Volvo. Lead time is a couple of months. I believe Ford have given them a boot in the backside to extend availability. Hurrah!

cheers

Hi, the old gent that was the first owner of the car hit a few things so the the sides of the bumper are slightly twisted and scraped. I'll have a good look over the weekend to see what can be adjusted.

Hi Iain,

Welcome to the forum.

You may be able to get a good s/h wing possibly. There are a lot of 300's in the scrap yards.

Hi James , sounds like a very good idea! Yeah the front r/h spring strut collapsed today cutting into the tyre and completely shredding the inside of the tyre. The car was recovered , thanks for the help in sourcing a spring strut James!
