Side window required

Post by hakan »

Side window (left side) required for 360 Mk2......... , please pics see topic "Frogs may join".
I mean the window next to the back seat, on the left side, not too sure if that's understable and makes sense in English, though

Can collect in England (south)
Would trade against cheap fags, booze.........snails, frog legs........
......or whashing powder :) .......... (dont 'know why :? we keep seeing British people buying loads of washing powder in super markets in Calais)

UK N/S passenger. It's also a 3 door, which would make it a different size..... rarer in 360 form, but one from a 340 will be fine!

If it was a 5 door I'd have one for you!

You'll want GL spec or above though to get a matching tint

Thanks Dai,

Good to know that at least a spare exists.......somewhere .
Hum, Anglesey is quite far away from Dover.
Perhaps could we meet at a V3M meeting somewhere in between ?

As for the matching tint (the car is not with us yet, we have just sent a deposit to secure it) : if I remember well , the windows nor the windscreen are tinted, it should be plain clear glass........
Is it going to make things simpler ?

NB : As the current fixing is not waterproof, any window would do until we get a proper one.

That's not bad at all! Some things are reasonably priced from the Stealership, while others are ridiculously expensive! It's always worth trying them first. Some things have been discontinued for the older Volvo's, so we're now looking towards pattern parts, or in some cases getting batches produced ourselves. Mac for instance has done some great work in producing a kit that he can provide through V3M for the diff gasket, which includes everything required, as Volvo don't keep them for the 300 anymore.

As to UK cost for the window, I don't have a clue. I've never actually been in a Volvo Stealership! I get my genuine Volvo stuff through a mechanic friend normally.

There's a meet this Sunday in Oxford combined with other Volvo clubs, such as the Volvo Owners Club, a VUM meet. As yet V3M haven't got anything planned yet, so, ideas people..........

Hello Pete, all,

Next Sunday is a little bit short notice and beside I'll take my old bus 265 and My girlfriend "new 363" to a meet (all makes) which take place in the suburbs of Paris this sunday.

Another time maybe.... please let me know well in advance so that I can book a crossing whith "Speed ferries" which operates accross the channel like "low cost" airlines... tickets bought a long time in advance can be cheap.

Getting back to this window, In my opinion, perhaps it would be interesting to compare retail prices of Volvo UK with prices of Volvo France........ and with other countries (Belgium ?) if member care telling us about price in their home country.
Then we would know where is best to shop...... is feasable.

I had read with a lot of interest the thread about diff gasket......... I've seen also a thread about a stainles steal exhaust line..........

Lots of interesting links also posted by V3M members, thank you.

Cheers
Hakan
