340 DL Auto (1989, F Reg)

Post by Vario Si »

Hmm... well I haven't been on the site for some time now! But the car has to go sometime in March.

It has MOT and Tax till end of March, currently in the Croydon area.

Car isn't in the best state - but will live on for some time. I'll add more details at a later date. It has done under 40,000 miles.

If you're interested let me know, I'd rather it went to someone who could put it to use.

I'll probably put it on Ebay at the beginning of March.

Any offers considered.

Cheers,

Simon

possssssssibly interested, depending on how much stuff the MOT tester finds that I've missed on mine. And depending on how much work yours needs. :)

Here are some oldish photos of the car from a year ago I think..

http://www.geocities.com/nehehaha/

I'll see if I can get some more up to date photos.

The bonnet has got worse where the rust is above the headlight, and last year my dad forgot my car was behind his on the driveway and reversed back into it - so there is a towbar dent behind the drivers door!!

That was before the last MOT in March, the only things they noted were:

1) dent behind drivers door(surprised they put it down!)
2) battery insecure (battery strap since been tightened)
3) engine tray (plastic) support (hangs slightly low)

I did replace the rear box (purchased good cond. one off Ebay last month and fitted).

All tyres in good condition + two not so good spares

I don't fill the petrol tank up too much cos it leaks out if you do...

Hmm, so far this is a great ad LOL.

Well, it will be a giveaway - when the time comes... if anyone wants the poor thing.

If only it had stayed in mint condition in the last few years before my Gran (original owner) died.

Anyway, I've rambled enough!

I reckon I'll be interested. It'd be nice to have a runabout car that I'd have to keep nice and original, as every time I start messing with a car I ruin it! I'm a little scared by the cvt, as I just wouldn't have a clue what to do if it broke, but I suppose there's loads of help available on here.
Can I have provisional first dibs on it please? It'd be going to a good home since the GLT gets all the thrashing (and seems to take it all in it's stride).

Well I've not had the time to do anything...

- TAX till end of the March

- MOT until 7/8th April

Can get £70 for scrapping it, not that I want its life to end... Anyone is welcome to have it for £50 or highest offer.

May put it on ebay - if I do I will post a link.

...Oh, I calculated its mileage (dash changed), and has just gone over 36k miles.

I really want your car but my council industrial unit still isn't ready so I have no space for my cars as is. It's free motors listing on ebay this weekend I think, or possibly next. I hope it goes to a good home.

Goodbye for now.

Well it's been sold on e-bay!

It went before I got around to posting a link up here later in the evening.

Many thanks for the help in the past I've received here, it was very much appreciated.

I shall enjoy the last few days of the car before it's handed over this weekend.

Goodbye for now everyone.

...hanging around...

Do you mean - will I be from now on?

If so... well it's unlikely, too little time to do the things I need to do... and the things I want to do... well they have no chance at the moment.
