240 calipers are well known as the best of the scrap pile caliper you can buy.

It looks like what I need to do if find a way of using a 240 caliper combined with a vented disc of some sort.

I'll start digging my books out over crimbo.
How about something like this?

That's a spaced 240 4pot caliper on a modified M3 disc (300mm). probs a lot of work to make the disc as it seems to be a 360 centre bolted onto a chopped outer part (like a racing disc)

p.s. I haven't fitted those brakes yet as one of the calipers needs freeing up and i want to deox-c the surface rust off first. I'd happily buy a short shift kit too.

Ive not read the whole thread as im at work and its a biiiiig thread, but id say the biggest thing that would sell well and attract new owners (LOTS of once word got round) is the appropriate parts to make certain engine conversions (GTT/440Turbo/Clio engines in 340s and 700/900turbo engines in 360s) totally plug and play.
They are all relativly simple swaps it seems, but unless im totally missing something here theres not exact info on what needs changing, esp with regard to electrical sensors etc.
An uprated clutch and decent exhaust system for the above conversions too.

Im deffo in the market for some uprated shocks and springs for the 360 soon, and ive not checked yet, but i hope they already available...

Springs are already available.

Shocks can be done but you need some s/h parts off a 240 glt to fit them!
