rear suspension

Post by pyro »

howdy men and gentleladies, i have a feeling that the rear dampers on my 360 (GLE 2.0) have packed up and walked home, there is excesive wallowing on corners and it seems a bit livley (ie sideways action) but this could jus be body roll,
is there any common problems on 360's with the rear suspension, bushes etc

also as im down there is there anything i can do to stiffen up the rear suspension

oh yea ive jus had 2 new rear tyres on, could this have any bearing on the above tail happiness??

cheers boys and girls

Common problem with 300's is most will be running orig Volvo stuff so will have been on up to 20yrs

Put some Red Ryder rears on mine for road rallying 25% uprated have made a difference-stiffened up rear abit and exposed how $hite the front is :?

If you do the rears expect to look at the front shortly after

I have monroes, which are loads better than knackered old ones... and can often be got cheap.

Not sure how much Volvo charge, but stock GLT dampers are pretty good new, when I took Andy's car for a lil spin when he wasn't looking in France it didn't roll much considering the roundabout we took.

IIRC Volvo GLT shocks are around the same price as the Spax adjustables Dai offers - I know which I'd rather have...
