Ahhh I see, the CR is 9.2:1 so quite nice and low, won't run too much boost, standard is 8psi I think and thats making 155bhp without the breathing mods i'm going to have. Also guess i'll get more power per psi of boost due to the higher compression. Worried about the clutch so I won't be running much boost to start with, just glad to know the fuel pump is up to the job for the levels i'll be reaching

The idea is to keep fuel pressure at a contant pressure over manifold

Right I finally got a spare 30mins from uni work
so had a quick bash at the sump again, 10mins later and it was off, a LOT of kitchen roll later and it looked like this...


Bit of a nasty crack in it, might get the welder to sort that out

Can just about see a blue mark on it where I plan to add the return point

I'll try to get it welded this week ready for putting it back on next weekend

Clutch wont be a problem with those power levels if it's in decent condition. New stock clutch will hold up to ~180hp, in those figures it'll start to slip in higher rpm at higher speeds. 155hp should be no problem.

Went to the local fabricators, his aluminium welding machine is broken and he told me he isn't going to bother sending it off to get repaired as nobody wants aluminium welding these days, he said there isn't even anywhere local so one trip to BnQ later....

I'm on the intercooler hunt too, the 480 one doesn't look too bad for fit widthwise, and is huge, but I think again it will be too tall (must be a reason Husky didn't use it!!)
He put in a Frontera TD one if thats any use, but I don't wanna go drilling the front bumper. Did get an idea at the last VUM meet as to what might work though
