Is that B27, B28 or B280?

Here is B28 with stock manifolds

Here it is with B27 intake manifold
http://users.tkk.fi/~erkomaa/pics/B28_B27Eimusrj.jpg

Exhaust manifolds are said to be more effect, but I have no much info about those, then made camshafts should give more power, but not alone, need other modifications, then exhaust pipe and mufflers from 200-series turbo car give better torque.
Recommendations I read from other forum, B27 intake manifold + 240 turbo exhaust pipe and mufflers, after that custom exhaust manifolds and after that new camshafts.

I don't know if those are what you are looking.

Not a lot to be done to it easily, to be honest. It's possible to turbocharge or supercharge...but not at all easy. Adding nitrous is probably the easiest route!

That's probably the easiest option...but still not 'easy', and it's hard to find a 25 Turbo these days!

im also looking for a carb manifold for it, we have a v6 lpg conversion and given its fuel consumption lpg is the best way for us to keep it, and ive been reading as its a PRV engine, you can get 5sp manual gbox's for then ie out of an espace or renault but im not sure on the mountings,
but ill investigate that

any one had and experience with them cheapy 'chip' resistor thingys on ebay? im not gonna get one jus wondering if they atually work!

cheers

If there was a £5 box which made your car quick, we'd all have quick cars ;) Except SteveP.

The manual box from an Espace, etc, is no good for you. You can do a manual conversion using parts from a very early 760 V6 and/or a 260 (V6 Man has), but it's not easy, and various bespoke parts are required. Not cheap, either. It took us 18 months to do his swap, once weather, laziness and parts aquisition was taken into consideration.

Carb manifolds exist, but it depends on exactly what you want. The B27A (and was there a B28A?) was available with a carb from the factory, but it's no route to big power. On the other hand, Triple-port Weber IDFs (downdraft DCOEs) exist courtesy of the Porsche 911...but the manifold will have to be home made.

Honestly, turbocharging or supercharging with suitable engine management is by far your easiest route if you want a significant boost in power. A complete Renault 25 Turbo engine may be best.

If a moderate upgrade will do, go for the IDFs (or maybe two Triumph Speed Triple injection throttle body sets running with programmable EFI hardware?), then fit a cheeky exhaust, e-fan, etc....that should see you to around 220-230bhp....maybe more.

cheers

Yeah, I'd go with that. Unless you have a lot of time and/or resources to throw at it, the PRV, like the newer 24v I6 in the 960, is a tricky engine to DIY 'tune'.
