Renix 360GL -86

Post by jak87 »

I have some running problems on my 360 with b200k. Timing for ignition is bit late. I have too renix box one with 407 ending number and one with 414 that was in that car when i bought it (i heard that it's on that number on 87->)
So does anyone know the differences between these boxes, atleast to 407 there went 3rd cable with 3 cords and 2 went to ground and one was not connected.
And can these be adjusted or does anyone know where would the problem found?

B200K (1985-1986) = 406 or 407 (from 1985 has change up indicator) (407 has speed limiter.)
B200K (post 87 ) = 414
Those seem to be the differences, pre 87 is 406/407 and 414 after 87. Not sure what the actual differences were, other than the pre 87 would be the higher compression engines I believe.

Does it make any difference to timing if i put those 2 extra wires to ground and what might be the solution to get the timing from 12 to 15degrees what seems to be factory default
