HUG Possibly For Sale

Post by JOHN360 » 17 Apr 2007 11:15 pm

Due to a change in work circumstances, I'm seriously considering having to sell HUG......

For those of you who don't know him, it's a G reg 360GLT hatch in black with a factory bodykit, extra dials in dash & aux panel, black leather upholstery(with rear headrests), boot interior flaps, detailed engine bay (as I've shown him at several Volvo shows) remote clifford alarm system + tracker fitted, full stainless exhaust, new monroe rear air adjustable shocks, 93k on clock with FSH, will have 12 months mot but no tax. Bodywork is still in excellent condition with just a small 'blob' on the back arch. The only extra it hasn't really got is a/c.

I would obviously like him to go to a good home & be looked after, rather than run into the ground as an every day car, so potential owners would be vetted, lol !! Offers around £900 - yes I know a lot in 300 circles, but look at all the work you won't have to do - I added some bills up the other day & it stands me at least £1200 !

Car is located in Harrogate, N.Yorks You can ring me on 0771 2802774 for further details.

Cheers,

John.

Well mate, that's a shame, just make sure you do select the next owner carefully, as you say! It's a lovely car indeed, and deserves to be looked after. I've got too many to even consider it really, however if I hadn't it would be tempting, black 300's look good.

Good luck mate.

Boo! I'm sure you'll regret it later John, but I applaud you for insisting it goes to a good home.

cheers

Thanks guy's - you're right I will definately regret it, but I've got to be realistic with space & cash at the moment !

You never know, I might not get anyone to buy him, so problem solved ! ?

I'll keep the board posted over what happens though.

Cheers,
John.

I have access to dry storage at about £40/month, if it comes down to that. Here's hoping for a good home (or a quick sale of whatever FWD stuff you're driving at the moment ;))

cheers

Cheers James. Have been using an N reg 960 3.0 for about a year, as the C70 had to go as well !! Oh the joys of being self employed ! ?

Will keep the storage offer in mind too !

TTFN,

John.

960s do appear to be virtually unburstable cars. Shame they're a touch thirsty, and the interior isn't to everyone's taste. Other than that, I really can't fault them. I've actually just bought an S70 to bum around in while the older cars are being pampered.

cheers

Hi James,

It's not a bad old shed really, quite quick with 204bhp & I do like my auto's. Dash is fine, similar to an 850's really, the only down side is you can't adjust the steering wheel rake & the height is spring loaded to specific settings, but with the 850's you can have it an any position. Rupert has also talked me through on how to retro fit cruise which was good - missed it after the C70.

Very suprised at you going fwd - what has the world come to !!

Cheers,

John.

Ah, but I think the 850 dash is horrible ;) Nah, it's not that bad, but I don't think I could have an 850 after seeing how much nicer an x70 is to sit in. An 850 with an x70 dash...now you're talking!

I would have had a 960...but...you'll get up to 10mpg more out of an S70 which is just as brisk, and I really don't need the extra space which you're giving away the fuel efficiency for. If I miss RWD, I'm driving to work too hard  Actually, it's working out almost perfectly. Although it's a very nice car to ride in, and having cruise control, climate control, and various other toys, it doesn't push the buttons which motivate me to 'care' about it. I just get it, have a very comfortable drive, and get out still longing to get into a 300 sm56

It goes without saying that if I could get an uber-soundproofed, fully rustproofed 360 with the 2.5 20v motor without having to build it myself...I'd have it in a flash. sm56 As it is, that would definitely be one project too many!

cheers
