To be fair Gavin, I was in the FWD toss, whereas you were pimping it big in a 300. This is the cost of having some luxuries...

cheers

Given that the 340 is (possibly) about to cost me rather a lot of money, I could probably cope with a bit of FWD toss luxury

I was surprised to learn that new shocks are going to cost about £280  I can't even do the job myself as the book of lies give it a four spanner rating :(

Add to that the need for a new timing belt, exhaust, valance, etc., etc. it may be time to wave goodbye to the old boy

Anyone want a Redline?

You can always do the rear shocks yourself, that should leave change out of £20 if you get some from ebay. It's a very easy job.

Yup, rear shocks are easy. It does help if you have someone else to assist however...

I did replace front shocks myself and I had not done that before, only trouble is those nuts that keep damper on place, those are so large that there was not even single tool that would done job well and of course those were put so tight that it was barely possible to get those open, but rest was rather easy as I had spring compressing tools.

It took 8 hours to replace them, at least 6 hours I did fight with those damn nuts.

I don't know what size of key fits, but maybe somewhere around 60mm ?

Oh yes, I did not remove strut completely, just did undo top of it, would be of course easier if you remove strut completely.

Looked at Kates on Google Earth last night, and, without this being taken the wrong way, you can see straight in her room ;)

They hadn't finished building it, and theres no roof!
