Dave....... the 240 LH loom, this is able to run the 230 FB on LH2.4, correct? How much? As my original plan was to run Megasquirt, but have been advised to put his on hold for now. So I'll get it in and running on LH2.4 and play later me thinks. If it's cheap enough I'll take it, as I can't see myself having enough time to play silly buggers finding one in a scrappy to pull the loom in the near future. Cheers.

Plus which flywheel will I need? Would the one from a 360 B200E work, or with LH2.4 will I need something else?

You'll need an 'dished' flywheel from a car with an M46 or M46, with timing marks for LH2.4. Pretty much any 'F' engine in a 240, 740, or 940 will have the right flywheel as long as it's a manual but NOT an M90 car. It's basically the same flywheel as the standard 360 one, but with a 60-2 timing pattern instead of the Renix 44-4 (or whatever) pattern.

I have a source if Dave can't hook you up. I need one myself, but like buses, a number have come along at once.

cheers

hiya ,

ive cut the loom out of the 940 now - it has been chopped - with the FB ecus £50 .

or you can wait for me to pull the loom from a 240 in about a months time .

flywheels go for £25 and probably the remnants of any clutch with it .

Hi Dave,

With the 940 loom, how easy will it be to piece it into a 360? The 240 one will be easier I take it? I'll take a fly wheel, and a loom either way, one of the two options, which ever will be easiest for me to fit and get it all up and running.

Cheers,

it would be easier for you to use the 240 wiring loom , altho i havent pulled that either yet .

the 940 one just needs re wiring back together - if you can do that sort of thing .

Ok Dave, well, I probably could, at a push, but I'll go with the 240 one when it's out please!

I've heard the owners of scrap 240 like to keep the looms as trophies, especially if someone wants to buy them...

Curiously, Salvo are all out of them...seems ye olde 80s crappy wiring in 240s is coming home to roost (note: late 80s and 90s wiring is AOK).

cheers

loom will be fine . as will flywheel .

SAY ECU loudly to anybody who thinks thats the only place where one would find one , because his customers wont look elsewhere , and its a prime item in their eyes , expecting lots of wonga .

Of course im sure the FB ones will fit just fine .
