How did your car get its name

Post by redline » 14 Nov 2004 03:59 pm

In a bid to be sadder than Tom and his latest topic (how did you get your username ) and to increase my level of spamicity, how did your car get its name (if it has one) we now know Wills is fidget because of his licence plate what about the rest of us Sadly I haven't got one for the redline yet Can't really use what the wife calls it, (espacially after the seat incident) too many young and easily influenced people on the forum for that sort of language LOL

Kar - because everyone said I needed a name for it when I got it, and I'd started calling it Car, and then remembered Knight rider. So it's a cross between the two (Knight Rider's Karr was double 'R')

Fake Kar - cos it was quite obviously pretending to be Kar!

KARR (voice: Peter Cullen): During the initial phases of the Knight Industries project, a prototype vehicle was developed by FLAG and was given the name Knight Automated Roving Robot, or KARR. Although very similar to KITT, the prototype lacked one important feature: the programming to protect human life, an oversight by Wilton and Devon. Once the car was activated, its primary directives was its own self survival at all costs. Upon realizing their mistake, Wilton and Devon promptly had the car deactivated and ordered it to be dismantled. However, the technicians had forgot to dismantle the car, and stored it in the Knight Museum of Technology, where it sat quietly for a number of years. That is, until one day some thieves inadvertently activated KARR...

KARR was blue and silver *cough*special*cough*

KITT (voice: William Daniels): The Foundation's most important asset in achieving its goals of fighting crime and protecting the innocent is a top-secret super "car" known as the Knight Industries Two Thousand (KITT). In addition to being virtually indestructible, KITT possesses advanced artificial intelligence capable of accepting voice commands, as well as interacting with its operator and making decisions on its own. In fact, KITT's artificial intelligence is so advanced, that it has formed a kind of personality. This human characteristic has enabled KITT to gradually form a unique bond and partnership with Michael and the rest of the FLAG crew. Although his purpose is to fight criminals, KITT by nature is benevolent and compassionate. KITT is programmed in such a way that his top priority is to protect human life, and thus he does not utilize lethal force.

I think an aggressive sounding name would be better. It must sound pretty aggrresive if your coil's knackered..:p
