I always leave the car in gear after a couple o' times the 340 decided to roll when I stopped! I just park mine against a wall, cant roll away if there a big obsticle, at worst you end up with a scratch.

tut tut Chris, you should always park in gear... I know it's been a while since you read the highway code, but I'm sure it was true back in your day!

Not only does it protect you from handbrake failure, it also protects you from ADD children who can't leave handbrakes alone ;)

ahem you young whipper snapper , handbrake and in gear all the time ,

they called it the belts and braces approach in my day .
even with the autos I always leave them in park rather than neutral with the handbrake on
