I got this offer for a b23e
The reason that made me want it was because it has a ported 398 head. With bigger valves so it compares to a 405 head. The cam is from a well known tuning Volvo company in Sweden called KG-Tuning. The cam is called KG002, and has these specs: 11.9 110 duration:300 and new it cost 200£.... And the head work isn't cheap either, he wanted 250£ for it all, should i do it? He says it runs well and is in good condition
With the 4-2-1 manifold i have ordered it should give some god figures
But i have heard the k-jet wont cope with much over 150hp, is that true? If i chose to use k-jet I will need to convert to fuel injection. I have now a 360gl = b200k engine, but i can always find a 360 with 200e\f and take fuel lines, wiring and fuel pump from that, will i need some more? Maybe the whole fuel tank? Is the wiring to the k-jet already laid out like in some non injected 240`s?
Of course, with NA engine it is bit different and K-Jet is quite ancient piece of hardware and also quite restrictive from intake side.
K-Jet should be better than stock electronic injection systems as there are things you can do to make it work with tuned engine, but naturally I do recommend megasquirt or similar to get really good power, economy and driveability, some may recommend carbs, but I don't

150 is something i heard or read somewhere
But i think i have a understanding of how it works and what happens when it goes wrong, fiddled a lot on the k-jet in my Porsche 924.... So i think I'm gonna try to use it. Besides the cars who competes in the Volvo original cup have more tuned engines than this one and they uses original injection.
What about the converting fro K to E, any particular problems i should know about?
Carbs? hmmm i don't think i will enjoy the fuel economy as this is still a daily driver

Oh i believed that it was originally k-jet in the b200e, my sources are wrong I buying myself an Haynes when i get home, gotta read up on that Le-jet renix system......... My former engine info sources: http://www.vlvworld.com/indexframe.html?engspecs.html
But not anymore
But then the b23e has k-jet i recon it would be the easiest use that. Or what do you think?
I oersonaly like the K jet as it is simple and does not normaly go wrong.
Carbs are good but do need regular setting to keep them working well. SU's or strongburgs can give very good consumption.
MS would be the best bet for petrol fueling.
