1.8 16v with bike carbs - help

Post by sps »

hi

Ive fitted everything together on the car after getting a full ignition set up off a late 340 and got a spark at last. My problem is that everything is fitted and working but the engine will not spring into life.

The set up we bought for the carbs is very horizontal and i thought that it might be the issue - do the carbs need to be at an angle for the fuel to go in properly? Does anyone have any pics of an engine with bike carbs on so i can see what it looks like?

Thanks

Bike carbs are very good because they are able to run at a wide range of angles unlike webers. As mentioned earlier check the fuel pump is functioning properly
