strange happenings at the car wreckers

Post by baz » 03 Dec 2007 06:57 am

spent today searching for rear brake shoes for the 360
no aftermarket firm has produced them for our market and genuine volvo ones are close to $400.00 so that wasnt an option either
I found myself at the wreckers hoping to get some old shoes that i could send away to be re-lined but got more than i bargained for as i was enquiring about shoes a white glt pulled up outside the owner was attempting to sell it to the wrecking yard who it appears didnt want it.
As i was leaving the owner of the terminally rusty thing approached me and offered it to me. will be ok for parts at least and it's mechanically sound and has only 155,000 ks on the speedo thats half what my daily car has
and he drove it here which was even better will spend the next weeks stripping the mechanicals . Ill be ok for spares now with one of everything except panels

You're a lucky man! Grab all the parts you can, they'll be more than useful in the future when 300 parts start getting rarer ...

Yeah it's in melbourne.

How much did they want for the other 360 Baz? and is it red? i really need a bonnet and front guards in red, my paint has moisture bubbles in it from a dodgy paint job in the past, basically looks like the car has pimples.

sadly not red

white cars mine and the other at berrys might be the red paint as mines similar in the paint i'd thought it was from not preparing the body properly before painting

"Smithy" from Berry's is registered on this site. Nice chap...he has a 360 with a tweaked B23E in it, if I remember correctly :)
