Allright, thanks for all the comment!

24th of January I have another driftday @ Zolder, belgium. I wanted to do a lot of things to my car, or even take the 343.. But I need to do a lot for school, so I decided to check the 340 and go with the (original :s) flow.

There is the oppertunity to get my driftlicence, but I think I don't get is with my 64pk raceboat :] However, it will be a lot of fun, and thats the most important!

Zolder was great! I have my Benelux driftlicence.. Don't spend much time to the forum now, busy with working, school and preparing the two volvo's!

Serious thinking of 16v my vario. I want to keep the vario, so some thoughts here:

Nm's 1400cc 8v: 108Nm
Nm's 1800cc 16v: 158Nm

So thats 50Nm more... Can the vario handle it? Because the welded diff, the secundair is bullit proof I think.
The primary vario? (Never killed one, complements for three year of abuse)
The belts? (just new ones is good enough I think)

If the engine kills the vario, I can easy restrict the throttle a bit.

Any other problems? I don't think so. Will just use a standard manual clutch and the standard prop

I want to make it a one week project.. so good preperation and a quick build. Don't want to start to build already, probably at the end of the year.

And if the vario can't handle it at all, I'll just put a manual box after it. (But I love the vario though...)

Give the stupid nonsense projects some comments please

What do you mean? You can't find the volvo 340 1.7 engine and driveline parts?

I'm located in the netherlands.. There are so many 340 1.7, almost for free... No problemo. :]

Some plans changed.... The 343 turbo isn't anymore. Been putting the turbo engine and gearbox into the 340. Probably some people don't understand me, but this was the only way in getting better with the 340.

Thursday first driftcompetition.

Been driving it a few days now, its really awesome! No problems yet.

lol dont really understand? :P

you toke the engine out of the other and put it in the red one for better drift power?

What ever you have done it looks cool 8) really like your work.

but what have you done with the green one?

Cheers

The green one will be sold probably, or break down for spares. It was hard to deside you know. But when the 340 drove, it was all good again.

And yes, I toke the engine out of the 343 and put in the 340. The 340 has a 5-speed gearbox from a 1.7 now.

Mainly, I can pay attention to one car now.. Building two same volvo driftcars is stupid, especially if you don't have money at all.. (and not much time)

The 340 will only get better and better. I want to win some competition :] Beat BMW's and Nissan's hehe.. Must do anything what's possible to getting better. Whish me luck ;)
