hi there yes its quite a tidy 1 its only a 1.4 gl special edition
special bits are
factory sunroof
alloys
central locking
stripes
i also find that it is the 87-89 models that suffer less with rust
i bought this from e-bay 2 years ago for 99p
advert was leaking rad suspect head gasket gone
head gasket was fine just fitted a rad
i also have a 85 mk2 which is giing to be a van version with a gordini [non turbo] engine...should give me about 110bhp

Heheh, you still going on with the Van plan Martin? Would be awesome, I think you mentioned it when we found the brochures. Do you know what happened to your mk1 in the end?

hi chris not sure what happened to the mk1...the chap who bought it was a bit strange and i quess that he scrapped it as it has not been seen on here
the van plan has been on hold but i expect to start it soon

Your old Mk1 went to Germany and did a lap of the Nurburgring, unfortunately a leaky radiator + lots of abuse ended up with a siezed engine. There's a youtube video somewhere if you search for Volvo 345 I think. I contacted the author cos I wondered of the whereabouts of that car now. It's still in Germany I believe!
