Hi, i was coming back from my barn today and about 1/2 way home the 360 (GLS by the way) begins misfiring a little bit. I got home and it seemed to be running fine but after i came out of the house and tried to start it again (about 30 mins later) it wouldnt start for toffee. I was cranking it for ages and it would ocasionally splutter in to life but as soon as i tried to apply any throttle it would instantly stall. I checked all of the usula things, fuel flow, air filter blockage, plug leads on tight but at the time my tool kit consisted of my hands and my keys so i was pretty limited on what i could do. Anyway the battery was starting to go a bit flat when all of a sudden it burst in to life and began idiling nicely. I left it like that for a few minutes and then decided to try a drive. It was OK until i used more that 1/2 throttle when it would just misfire horribly and begin to die.
Has anyone encountered this problem before? I should also mention that when i was cranking it over it would backfire every now and agin. Can anyone help as this is really pissing me off driving like this

Does it have a manual or automatic choke, cause if it has a automatic then it could be that it is bust and letting to much fuel through and there for floading the engine. This could happen with a manual choke aswell i think but i dunno for sure. Dont quote me on any of this though lol as im not 100% sure. Just trying to help.
I suspect its a dodgy connection somewhere, most likely in the Renix or dizzy. Check all the connections onto the Renix for corrosion and pull the dizzy cap and check it for damage. There's a good possibility that if its backfiring the cap is damaged and in the damp weather is arcing causing mistiming.

If it is on the renix system try giving the crank sensor a clean. They can cause funniny problems. The other option is maybe a bit of muck in the carb that has cleared itself.
