Variomatic adjustment shims

Anyone know where's the best place to obtain adjustment shims for the 1.4 variomatic as I may be needing them soon? And any idea on what sort of price?

I'm not sure but there's a whole variomatic gearbox on ebay at the moment - if you search for Volvo 340 it'll come up on the list.

Saw that on the bay Pete, good deal for someone if only for a spare but just a bit to far away. Just hope I'm not pushing fate that something now goes seriously wrong with the one I've got otherwise I'll be kicking myself for not going after it.

Cheers Martin, will have to wait a little while till I can get the car off the road and when the weather brightens up again and have a good look to see what I need and will let you know. May only have to remove the thinner shims that are there as it only slips slightly every now and then when moving off from standstill, but I will let you know when I can go get my hands dirty on it.

Just for everyone elses info I believe they are still available from Volvo, as Andy bought some from the stealership for when we did my Variomatic a couple of years ago. I could imagine them being discontinued but not used up by now, as it's not an everyday item!
