I think that's a bit harsh...they're not completely lady-like. You would have to be abusing the snot out of it to break it with less than about 200bhp with on-road use. Mine has survived a summer of hard use with ~150lbft of torque...including clutch dumps on dry tarmac, and spinning the open diff hard (which is known to be a problem).

Based on what various people with 360 Turbos have managed, I reckon 250lbft for road use is about your lot. Obviously if we're talking competition use, slicks, etc, then all bets are off. I know Sven/Bilbo claim to have pwned one with more or less stock power when rallying.

A little bird told me what you're putting the engine in. If he's right (it's white and has four doors), I've driven it ;)

cheers

little bird...
This "white 4 door" will (if I get it..) be a test bench for further 16v Turbo development..as daily. My 360 will be re-build to HIGH BHP spec, not quite shure where I'm goin yet. Was going for "Berg cup" look, but since mate of mine "snapped up" the wide arch kit (for silly money) I got from Germany and I'm in two minds ordering another one....HMMMM
I will start it next week and will keep You posted.
Might be a 500BHP sleeper look...
