1.4 ohv query

Did all 1.4 340's have ohv so they didnt need cambelts or was there a year / point in time when they changed over to cam belts.

All were OHV, so no cambelts to worry about.

the chain on the 1.4 usually outlasts the engine, however the possibility is that the chain tensioner spring doesn't deliver the tensioning level, then you'll hear a rattling noise and you feel te distribution chain case vibrating.

this "can" occur beyond 300.000km, but there are b14's with 500.000km on the counter without this problem.
