Why can't people take more care when going through gaps, or manoeuvring close to another car? It only takes a few seconds more and you reduce the chance of hitting it, and reduce how much damage you'd do if you did catch it

Youd p!ss yourself laughing if you saw my street dude. Its about 30 ft wide, has a flat 10ft grass area on one side, and 4 parked cars on the other. theres no thru-traffic and she was driving a 106.
Theres literally enough room to handbrake turn it, and not touch grass or any parked cars and she still managed it.

If it was an accident fair does but if she was drunk then she should get shafted for even considering getting in her car accidents do happen tho and its not the end of the world, remember when i was reversing an old jetta about late and with steamy windows and my dad jumped outta his impreza to close a gate and left the door open which i then reversed into and heard an allmighty crack, followed by the smell of urine , wasnt to bad damage, i think there was more damage to my pants then the door

North east V3M contingent are going to do a full Scrapheap Challenge poke round of it tomorrow.
Be happy just to be able to use it at the minute.
Ive always considered going back for them, good pants, but i ditched them in tewin somewhere whilst on the run to try and throw my dad of the sent, he is like a blood hound once he is on you there is no losing him

I know of a Volvo specialist bodywork guy who can put it straight...at a cost. The only price I know of, off the top of my head, is £250 for a door re-skin...but that's not a trivial job to do well.
The inner wing can probably be pulled straight...if not, weld a section in from a scrapper. The wing itself...Hadrian stock them for mk2s...around £60 a side. Volvo might have them, too. The difference is just the cut-out for the indicator repeater.
The rear 3/4 can probably be massaged straight...or maybe even just have the scuff polished out. It's not easy to tell how deep it is...

all very good to know, and of great help.
rear 3/4 is livable. scuffed, with a shallow short crease. the door and wing are gone if i want to keep high standard. doors creased/gouged deep. but only really to the touch. looks ok by sight. Need to change the wing only to keep it tidy really. But i DO want to keep the standard high.
i knew as soon as i commited to the PPC stand, something would go seriously wrong.
I'm sure 300s are literally invisible to other road users you know. Since getting my 340 back on the road, a few people have nearly pulled out in front of me. Though that's maybe because they underestimate how fast I'm going.
As said, we'll have a look at massaging that wing tomorrow, to at least get you mobile. I've got a mint wing here but it's driver's side, typical.

How plausable is sourcing origonal paint for a wing anyone?
Paint matchers have always been a big expensive bag of FAIL as far as ive seen, so ideally id like some 'the same'.
Hopefully all will get sorted.
