EXCUSE ME MAC! I'm from very short Cro-Magnon.
I'm afraid that my prehistory is a bit rusty, suffice it to say I'm made of very soft modern stock, and appreciate all the modern comforts of a 2010 car!

Im looking like being in Steves gang.
Working both days, cant get a hol, but shall continue badgering collegues to cover one of the shifts. If I hit lucky I'll link up with Matty and Matt and run down sat. I'll heve to head back the same day though and miss sun (or sat).
Any chicks going? Im not looking for love, I just might bring our to navigate.

Hi all.
Tomorrow, Mrs mchudd and i will be travelling on the ferry to England.
We are visiting family in Harrogate. Acording to the map, this Wetherby place is
only about 10 miles from there. Does anyone know exactly where the services are
for meeting up at 12.00 noon on Saturday?
Cheers Mark.

Hi Mark,

The services are just north of Wetherby at J46 of the A1(M).

From Harrogate take the A59 to J47 (8mls.) then south to J46 (5mls.) or:-
take the A661 to Wetherby (11mls.) then north on the B6164 to J46.

Debs and I are coming up Friday from Suffolk and staying at the services (Days Inn) on Friday night.

Mac.

Bump. Getting excited now!

Everything is booked! I have 16 places for fish and chips, and 9 for pub on the Sunday. Both are happy for a little wiggle-room (2-3 up or down).

Accommodation-wise, I've booked a double B&B room for Mark (£70 incl breakfast), a triple room for myself, Chris and Rupert (£90 incl breakfast), plus 6 tent pitches and John (filthy) can sleep in his car. Site fees are £12.50 for the car and small tents, and £20 for large tents. Breakfast is available for campers (book the night before) for £8 or so.

cheers

James

Update...it's tomorrow! Looking forward to it!

Remember, meet at Wetherby Services (http://goo.gl/maps/B8kGy) if you're a southerner, and Scotch Corner Services (http://goo.gl/maps/AkKRP) if you're a northerner at midday, ready to depart 20 and 10 minutes later respectively, to all re-group at Sutton Bank National Park Centre (http://goo.gl/maps/2op2q) at 1pm.

The rest we'll figure out along the way!

cheers

James

One final note - please can as many of you as possible study the route (http://goo.gl/maps/9eJja - updated with a few slight tweaks, like the correct destination in Lythe) and program your brains / satnavs accordingly. I have printed 10 hard copies of the instructions (and will have a PDF copy on my phone which I can email to those with smartphones), but I'm relying on a reasonable number of you to look after yourselves!

We'll need to come up with a plan regarding parking for Saturday Dinner, as there isn't any available outside the restaurant. I suspect we'll put everyone into 2-4 cars, then do a drop off outside. The drivers will then park up a little way away, and have a 5 minute walk to the restaurant. We'll sort out the detail once we get to the campsite.

cheers

James

Hi, Still not got my car ready yet. Gearbox still needs to go on then an hour or two after that to sort everything like exhausts etc. I might make it down for the evening meal if i get an early start on the car tomorrow. So if i'm not there don't wait for me. I could borrow a car to come down maybe just for sunday but not sure
