Well I will have to collect the cap first, so I won't be sending it tomorrow.
You will have some time to collect the parts...

Well how about... now...? The cap is mine.

A friend of mine scrapped a 340 and there was a snowcap on the bonnet....
So I guess I am a national hero now?

Congratulations, everyone else will have to wait.
Injection moulding costs a fortune for small scale production due to mould making.
Are you considering doing GRP copies?
By the way how are they attached? There was mention of a couple screws, but do you have to drill into the vent thing

or can it remain un modded

The cap is mounted from the inside out.
Remove ventillation grille.
(be very patient, the clips break very easily)
Position the cap over the grille.
Screws go from bottom to top trough the middle holes (between every "grille post" there are 3 small holes...) in the grille.
Mount the grille with cap on the hood again...
5 minutes work.

Thanks.
Now I just need to hope there will be some cheap copies made

I hope so too... GF replica's sound quite time consuming to me though...
If I find more caps I will let you all know...
I know Chris_C and VarioSi are waiting in line for one...

You're a page too late there MJ...we've already discussed FG copies. I'm prepared to give it a shot if a donor can be loaned.
cheers

Look what I've got for you Mick, an absolutely spottless snowcap!
It is a very tiny bit bent becouse the @#$%& who was the official owner of the car discided he could run up and down his car before he gave it away to be scrapped for parts...
I think it will straighten out when some pressure is applied for a short duration of time...
It is a very nice snowcap though...
Congrats, I will send is on its way tomorrow!
Let me know when it arrives and when you have my parts ready for shipping...
(maybe foggy wants to send me some seats, I think it will be cheaper if it is sent as one package?)

We may be buying a caravan (a classic one though not one of those ugly modern things...) next year so It could be possible for us to attend a UK meet next year...
