yeah its there everyday id say, the lowness isnt due to a bodykit, he's only got a veilside front bumper and evo bonnet vent, no other body modifications, i have seen the guy once but cant really remember what he looked like, must be minted thought to have all that work done. Have you spotted the half finished nova in the carpark aswel with the sideways mounted exhaust and front bodykit bumper put over original bumper!? It just seems to be civic (all with 17s and 4" slash cut exhausts!) and bmw 3series(all with rear lexus' and tints all round!) heaven round that area!

Ahhh the half done Nova.. white unpainted bodykit, and roll cage.. surely a 1.2.. looks like stupidly oversized 17"s?
There are alot of Civics, massive backboxes.. but some quite cool angel eyes on one. You can hear them all driving down the street infront of MP!
Guess this is getting off topic, sorry Aymat!

Novas were only called Novas here - everywhere else they were Opel Corsas. Vauxhall brought in several Opel names - Vectra, Omega...

Corsa - misspelt as far as I'm concerned.
The 'a' should be after the 'o' and there's an 'e' missing from the end.....

long time since anyone posted on this topic , am i a bit naieve (is that how you spell it ? ) looking at the haynes manual the front coil springs look like true coils i.e. regular coils with no flat spots or tapering .So why cant you just hacksaw off one coil and thus lower the front end that way ? dos anyone know if it would cause any damage ? with a set of spring compressor clamps you should even be able to do it without taking the springs off , just jack up the car remove the wheel and then compress the spring except the last coil which you cut off directly in line with the end , remove the coil and then gently release the compressor clamps. I may be being a bit symplistic about this but honestly cant see why it wouldn't work.

You are right you could chop a coil (or two!!?) off the springs, it's a bit crude though, and it will proberbly fail the mot as the spring will fall out when the load is taken off the suspension, there are a far amount of springs avalible to lower it properly, and they dont seem too dear, maybe best just to buy some.

I have a pair of front lowering spings of my 340 1.7, I took them off because they were not stiff enough. If you want them you can have them for £10 plus postage.
I've lowered the rear be stuffing in a big lpg tank, very cheap way resulting in very low running costs

you could just make some spacers from steel plate and fit longer high tensile bolts.
Keep to your volvo 1.4 is not the end of the world.

Sold....pending a few more enquiries...
What exactly are they? Aftermarket lowering springs, or cut stock ones? Are they stiffened at all?
cheers

hi you can always ad a 360 front anti roll bar....the diameter is bigger
therefor less body roll
