Rory recently passed 88888. I was going to take a snap, but we were going up the M1 at the time. My better half would not be happy about me taking photographs whilst driving

I got to watch Kar going over 100,000 which was amusing, now won't be long before I see Fake going over 200,000

That's pretty impressive
There's only one 300 in the VOC's official High Mileage Club (228,843), plus another nine above 200k in the unofficial listings.

I posted Fake on the website one when it was still sat on the drive (read had been gutted for parts for Kar...) but havn't updated since, and had never entered the official one as I didn't have an in date MOT. Might actually do that now! 12,000miles in 10 months isn't bad for a spare parts car really

thank you for the welcome
i will add some pics very soon! but the ones i have are of the maiden voyage and its still a bit of a dirty girl.
i spent about 4 hours yesterday painting the wheels and the front bumper.
wheels are a pain to paint!
when i do a trip at the weekend i will post them up too
thing is this mk1 is perfect - the body work needs a polish and there is a dent onm the front wing but other than that its perfect

My GLi just passed the 300,000 km mark
I took this as a good excuse to get the bills folder out which I got from the previous owner. A couple of surprises there, it's on its first wheel bearings and clutch, even after all this time ...
The exhaust really is a terrible piece of design. The previous owner replaced the back box with an original Volvo item 4 times in 12 years! I've so far replaced it twice with a part from Bosal, which would mean Bosal 360 exhausts are pretty much as good (or bad) as the Volvo ones, I'd always thought otherwise ...
Anyway, here's a list of the bits (other than service items) which have been replaced in the past 20 years, maybe it's of interest to someone:
1st engine / gearbox / diff (obviously

)
1st clutch
1st wheel bearings
2nd steering rack (260,000 kms - damn' expensive)
2nd thermostat (30,000 kms)
2nd water pump (100,000 kms)
2nd radiator (200,000 kms)
2nd front discs (200,000 kms)
2nd exhaust downpipe
2nd exhaust middle section
2nd Renix (220,000 kms)
3rd alternator
3rd front pads
3nd rear wheel cylinders
6th set of tyres
6th exhaust back box (!)
9999th bit of welding

3rd set of pads and 6th set of tyres!?!?! If only!!! I've gone through lots more than that in my 70,000m I've done in 300's!
