I did see the 340 R-Sport shocks....and was rather tempted. I decided that the valving would probably be too weak for a B200 car. They ended up going for peanuts!

cheers

yup, but I think you are probably right about the weak valving when it comes to holding up a b200/230

A fiberglass bonnet, whole aircon sent to Trabitom and moving battery to the rear and go !! :D

They were cheap, well worth a try !

...having said that, a B200K 360 uses the same shocks as a 340 1.4, so maybe they'll be just fine. :) Looking at the prices they went for, I should have bought them anyway...just in case I end up going ahead with my idea for an Oettinger replica :)

cheers

I should have the non-AC PAS bracket ready for you soon, Meintag (clickme).

That's a good idea, particularly since you've got the right wheels for it (IIRC). Oettingers are even rarer than R-Sports! How "original" would you be wanting to do it, with stubby bumpers & "Oettinger" decals? (clickme)

Sorry, for the thread-jack, Nikdev ...

Yes, I have those wheels...and front spoiler...and an Oettinger 1.6 cylinder head ;)

I'd not get too neutoric about it being a perfect replica....but....stubby bumpers: yes. Oettinger decals: yes. :)

cheers

The cars weren't perfect in the first place, I personally wouldn't be fussed about keeping it original engine-wise ... But Oettinger wheels, spoilers & decals sound VERY nice :-) perhaps even more interesting than an R-Sport replica, being more unusual.

Back to topic: nice driving Nikdev :-) I put winter tyres on my 360 for the first time ever and was rewarded with:
no snow :?

that looks great, any chance of posting the dimensions when you've finished? as I'm quite tempted to make one but lack the luxury of a pit :(

I think you need to start worrying when there's NO oil sweating from the seals. Then it's empty, unless you've replaced them at some point ...

I used a 2m pipe and couple of 90dergres, some 45`s and I believe i used a 30 degree bend. Also used camps, and 2 silencers and we started the it with a flex pipe as the manifold did not point straight..

Some more pics of it, used the original hanger with a slight mod:

The rear silencer came out looking like this:

I have heard that angled and almost mid pipe are a fashion this year
