Just curiosity more than any thing, is there no way to change the PCD, maybe remove the studs from the drums, get them redrilled to different PCD, and refit them?

I've no idea how they are fixed to the drums, just a thought, don't know what you could do with the fronts though.

Nit easy changing PCD of volvo hubs due to setup. Front could be modded to 108 using ford hubs rear not so easy...

Like i say just a thought, suppose i'll be on the hunt for some other wheels then even though i do like the look of the Minilites.
For now though i'm going to just fit the stiffer front and rear shocks and see if that helps.

Got some pics with the new tyres on now, i'm just a picture whore :lol:

For anyone who was interested, i'm fairly impressed with them, give good grip but smoke up nicely too, not been out in the wet with yet so will report back at a later date.

Plus the stock steel with one of the wider tyres fitted, was feeling lazy, couldn't be bothered to take it out the boot :wink:

PCD adaptors, I was gonna do Porsche wheels..

How do they work with studs? I know Golf boys love them nut they have bolts.

Porsche Cookie Cutters would be an absolute win in my eyes.

Pcd adaptors are normally a billion pounds, plus the billion pounds for porsche wheels.
Might as well spend the two billion on some really good 4x100s.

Your not wrong, but only like a year or 2 ago, Cookie Cutters and Tele Dials were the unloved porsche wheel, but now the Dub boys have twigged on so the prices have gone ^^^^^^^^^^^.

Still get them cheap enough though if you look in the right place.

Been eying up all sorts of 4x100 at the moment, but wanted to try to stay with 13's just so i can use my tyres on them.

Oh those steels up there are 4x100 BTW.

So i've been tinkering with the car, started on Friday and took me ages to do, because my brother managed to break my breaker bar recently so been doing it all with normal Halfords 1/2" drive stuff, and some of the bolts were properly stubborn to get off!

Luckily my mate came round on Saturday with his breaker bar so i could get the caliper carriers off. No amount of torching the blighters with a gas torch had any effect, but the breaker bar did the trick.

New discs, got to be an improvement over the originals, but my budget didn't stretch to the drilled or combi ones:

Note different coloured springs, meant to be 2 1/2" lowew, and laid next to the old ones i can beleive it, but once fitted only seems a smidgen lower than it was. I can only pressume the old springs and shocks were totaly kippered so it was effectively lowered already?

I've got a little knock coming from the drivers side suspension now, so will have to investigate that, but nothing is loose, i've already checked. Well i went to a car show in it today, a good 20miles or so with no problems. It only seems to do it on full lock when parking, or hitting big pot holes. Other than that it's fine, a lot stiffer than it was. Just need to put the new shocks on the back now.

By inserts do you mean the new shock in the leg, if so i doubt it's that as i couldn't physically do it up any tighter than i have? I've got a feeling it's the spring, although i've held them in with bolts and plates, it still seems to move about a little.

I'll give everything a check over when i get in from work tomo eve though as whatever it is, it's slightly annoying.

What do i have to check with regards to the bearing, they seemed to be in ok condition so i just cleaned them up and re greased them.
