Clove Brown is the poo colour on that Allegro, another great BL shade.
I may be wrong Rob but I think you'll find the Allegro is Russett Brown..

Yeah, that 'leggy looks like Gusset Brown to me.

i think this has got to be done now ive thought about it
ive got the paint guns just need to borrow a bigger compressor ive got plenty of time till September and a place to spray it
ill be using matt paint as i like the hard finish plus its easier to spray
one thing is how many layers of primer will it need i will just be keying the standard blue paint
as its in very good condition and i dont want to make a hash of this i want to do it right but as usal on a tight budget
any tips or websites you guys know

Flat Nato Sand is pretty beige.

And cheap.

And you can rock it with a roller.

Add beige steels for ultimate beige win.

Fair comment mate. I must confess I've never painted a car in matt but i guess the same rules apply - lots of preparation and don't mask what you can take off.

Good luck with it and look forward to seeing the pics :D

if you're spraying the matt-black paint, don't roll on the primer....

if you want a cheap respray; clean it very very well. scotch-bride the entire car; that will roughen up the surface of the paint without making a big mess. 2 coats of primer to get an eaven coat; wetsand the primer with p600/p800, 3 or 4 coats of mattblack (it is allways better to spray thin and eaven layers and do a layer extra than very few layers and thick spraying..) followed by a single or 2 coats of clear to protect it.

Think it's beige rather than black, but the same principles apply. Good advice Anjo.
I was toying with the idea of rollering mine, as the paints scratched up quite a lot. But the prep and work involved in even just a good flat roller job put me off. Rub fill rub mask paint wait paint wait paint.
I don't have the time.

But I've always fancied a beige 300.

Chances of finding one with origonal paint? Slim.
