I suggest you don't do this unless you want to loose your car and get slapped with one of the worst driving offences. After which you can forget about getting insured at all and getting any kind of job that goes near vehicles. Hate to spam a topic and I can be lenient on the stupidity of insurance (just another way to force money out of people IMO). However, insuring a high powered vehicle as a 1.4 is really REALLY stupid.

I concur to wrongly insure is to not insure IMHO.

If your insurance can be null and void for the same size aftermarket wheels what d'ya think plod and the lanyard wearers will make of an extra camshaft and an engine that was never placed in your vehicle by manufacturer.

The problem with insuring it as 1400 is nothing until summit happens and then when it does you'll find thrashing your naked torso with stinging nettles will be the preferred option.

i was intending to insure it as a 1.8 its changed on the log book but when i gave them my reg that said it was a 1.4 so i just agreed as it saved me £600
if i was 2 crash it i wouldnt go though insurance and if i crash into someone els then they dont usually they dont look under the bonnet

sorry gonna have to give this a miss, much to my disappointment. got quoted 3.5 grand for this. not bad considering im 17, male, and have a claim pending! i'd give adrian flux a call for anyone looking to get insured on this, i was amazed they gave me a quote on an engine swapped car!

Sorting my renewal today I was informed AF have lost one of their cheapest partners (Markerstudy) which is why my renewal was more than last year. I'm trying for someone different but nobody wants me. Sad face.
