i think it is (that link didnt work)

its about the 6th photo if you google image search 'volvo 360 glt', so its not surprising he came up wiht that one. if you do win (unlikely), go look at the car, and if you decide you dont want it just say 'wheres the bodykit' or 'wheres the grill badges' or whatever..

Ian,

Yes, that is definitely John's car. There are several desirable features in that advert - 22k, AC, and the bodykit on the car in the picture. I am highly dubious that the car has any of these, or even that it exists. Proceed with extreme caution. It is not unheard of for people to be lured to deals with cash in pocket only to receive an unexpected welcome...

I am intending to contact (when I have 5 mins spare!) John, eBay, and am considering the Police.

Having said all of this, it may be totally straight up, and he might just be using a library picture. If all is as described, this could be a very nice car. If in doubt, a trip there without the (direct) means to pay is hardly high risk, especially if you can take a couple of mates. However, my 'dodge' indicator is pinging off the top of the scale for a great many reasons.

cheers

James

From what I've gathered the "seller" hasn't replied to any enquiries so far :(

If you search for 360 glt on google, the black car comes on in the third row.

I presume the guy took a pic of a nice looking glt to put with the advert.

in all fairness this could be entirely genuine - i've flogged stuff on ebay with someone elses pic before, and he could be not replying cos he's not got web access at home!

Thanks for tip boys - I'm not dead or have diseased estate either !!!! Have sent said 'alleged' seller of car a curt reply over the lack of library pic description in add. + no permission to use. Doubt if I'll get a reply though judging by the other lack of responses !!

'Hug' is still sat in the garage with a dust sheet over him - I suppose at least the guy took the trouble to scrub the number plate !

TTFN,

John.
