Once agian, you can buy them cheap, im not denying that, but its the best, i do not doubt for one second that you paid 175 quid, what im saying is, this one is the best 360 glt three door, and i doubt there will be a better one for sale, unless you fancy the one on car and classic for 3k, which i very much doubt is in better shape. It will not appeal to people who dont mind not having the best. Its a premium product at a premium price, you get what you pay for. Open to offers

A packet of jaffas and 3 pork pies.

Take the grand you'll get no more on here that's for sure.

Yeah I understand bud, it's just that it really isn't that special. And yes, it's the best 360GLT 3-door out there at the moment. Way way off the best that's out there though. A better example with lower mileage is likely to come up in the next month or so.

Most of all though, nobody from round these parts will spend this much and that's just the reality of the situation. Someone MAY pay that much yes because of your great sales pitch but the car is not worth what you are asking. Simple as.

You will struggle to sell. Take a grand and feel lucky - that's the top end at a stretch.

Currently unsold at £600.

If yours is that exceptional, I'd take a few more pics Mebeez.
Jacking points, inner arches if you can get in, engine bay etc. Not much work if it means making your price.
Might help if it had long t and t?
Everyone loves a full test when buying a 2nd hand car.

Speaking as someone who has paid over a grand for a 300 (an '83 360 GLS) I'd say you'd have to be lucky to get a better offer than the one you have already in the current economic climate. I didn't pay that much more for mine. It had only done 18,000 miles, and even had not only an unused spare, but the original tyres (not that thats a good thing at 26 years old!). The engine compartment is dusty but otherwise as new. Your car looks in very original and nice condition and is a higher spec with the injection engine but there's still a fair few knocking about. Will be interesting to see what it goes for if you'd be good enough to let us know!

Did anyone see what the show winning 360 GLS owned by Ted from the VOC club went for in the end?

What's going for this car is:

originality, FSH
3dr GLT rare-ness

Some detailed pics would certainly help the sale (try the VOC too), and If you convert to LHD you might well find someone prepared to pay the asking price :-) VGC GLTs are like hen's teeth "on the continent" and 3dr GLTs are almost unheard of.

Don't slate the guy for trying to sell the car for a premium, at the end of the day as VND says, if someone's prepared to pay the sum than fine! When you see for how much 2CVs (7000 Euros) and original Mk1 Golf GTIs (10000 Euros) are going for this seems like a bargain.

Cheers

Tom

After all we all try to get as much as we can for a vehicle, and you have to leave room to haggle down! Also the fact that it sold for £300 recently doesn't matter, as anyone who was looking for one at that time had chance to buy it then and didn't! I would have paid a bit more than that had I been looking for one at that time.

As mentioned in other threads and by VND, its supply and demand and whatever someones prepared to pay at the time. A slightly higher price for the best cars is no bad thing if you want any to be left in 10 years time! I've nothing against modifications/drifting, and it's been said before (and I'll say it again!) there's frequently much cheaper cars out there, ideal for that use. It has to be said though that the 300 scene is not one of big money for cars and I doubt it ever will be. 7000 E for a 2CV  Supply and demand has a lot to answer for

Hope the car goes to a good home and whoever buys it as whatever price feels happy with it!
