Yeah, I was just about to post - as for it looking better, not so sure - it didnt have the vinyl roof back then, and it's not a good look!

From my 1970's memories a vinyl roof goes with furry dice, two fog lights used as extra brake lights in the rear window, jacked up rear suspension and a pretty poor power to weight ratio with lots of exhaust noise

I think whats wrong with the vinyl is that it should extend down the rear window posts for that capri/cortina look!

It sits horribly level currently for this very reason
