Can't see point in stealing, I mean they could easily put that effort to do some honest job and earn that tenner or whatever they get from that, they make damage that is more worth than anyone could make from such stereo, logic and reason certainly is not qualities of such retards.

Both boot locks and door handles can have the barrels swapped, so we should be able to get Mark's old key into your locks.

Theo, thats some proper V3M spirit chap, good on you.

Oh dear, I'm sorry Speedy ... Hope you don't have too much hassle with the whole thing.

I've just gone through the parts catalogue, it looks like the handles and locks are the same for hatch and saloon versions. Only the catch inside is different, but hopefully that's OK. If not I'll have a look too, I think i have some saloon bits and pieces somewhere ...

Regarding the quarterlight - it might be an idea to look out for a complete rust-free silver door instead? Rear doors are fairly easy to swap.

Sorry to see that :(

I have a saloon boot lock, rear window (or reasonably good door in blue), front door lock and original Volvo radio if you're interested.

Yes, they were very good considering Bristol is a place where worse things happen all the time. Also very apologetic that they wouldn't be able to track them down due to lack of prints/dna. So no dusting. Which is fair enough, I know how these things work. I was expecting a lot less feedback. Also apparently they even dropped around the house/street looking for witnesses but I'd gone down to Dorset for a break. So they phoned me today to let me know what had happened and gave me some "STOP - No valuables in car" stickers. If you know me you'll know that I LOVE stickers.

At the end of the day, they stole a nice CD player but that was free off my brother when he wrecked his Clio Williams. The tools were built up over years on a budget and can be replaced. All in all, not that bad, just wish they hadn't hammered the locks most of all!

Plus it was my birthday this weekend and got awesome gifts such as:

Hi Speedy.
The rear quarter is now winging it way to the mainland and should be
with you in a day or two. Hope you can get it in alright.

If you ever find out who did it let us know - I'm sure the sight of my Merc SEC and Nibbles' S klasse pulling up outside their house, followed by the sight of Chris_C's beard, Nibbles' 20+ stone bulk, Scary Farrells lopsided grin and Andy (Pettaw) with his dentists drill and obligatory blowtorch will have them crapping themselves - finally hearing SteveP's Brummie accent should finish them off completely............
