Why do I have the sudden desire to scour the local freeads, find a minter escort 1300, ram it into some armco and post the pics up? Didn't cost me much so what's the problem? Not really into escorts so I don't really feel bad about torching it after for the lulz.

wish i hadn't treated my fiesta run around so well now, its a habit for me, what ever car i have i service it and keep it clean, what i could of done.. is run it into a brick wall , rag it completely or scraped it, but i didn't because condition wise is was ok and i knew someone else would benefit from using it, it had 32,000 miles on it and was like new inside and shiny outside. i have that good feeling inside knowing i sold a car (cheaply) that will easily go on for another 80K+ in original condition. :)

after typing that out and reading through , i know it was just a ford, it was cheap and i don't much care for them. but i still looked after it and did the right thing selling it to someone that loved fords and was going to look after it even better than i did. sm4 made the decision that i didn't have the money to look after and run it and let someone that did take ownership.

volvo 300's are more than cars to most of us, its a labor of love and passion :360: 340pw :340: sm4

Im talkin about mk1 and mk2 escorts by the way.

for the price of a pile of rust and a log book u could buy 3 volvo 300s so go ahead and buy 1 and smash it up if u like, I like lookin at pictures of em smashed up 2 be honest, the more that get smashed the more mines worth, I personally couldnt even afford a 4 door heap of shit mk1/mk2 escort thats why I bought a volvo, I bought my mk1 escort 6 years ago and it owes me about 15 grand so far, alot of the escort boys dissagree wiv wot im doin 2 mine coz im building it how I want instead of makin it all original. volvos are cheap and rwd and thats as far as it goes, I like em alot but only for those reasons,

the guy I bought the volvo off nearly scrapped it, says it all really, glad he didnt tho! :D

Sorry bud, Im not going to lie, but that last line angers me. Not the stripped and lowered, but the "thrashed to fuck". Its your car, and do what you like with it, but dont go around a forum thats EXTREMELY enthusiastic about the 300 series and brag about how your going to thrash and trash it, especially within 6 posts of coming on here. Especially dont write things like your "ad" in that way either. Its just going to end in hatred for you. The way that ad is worded, is like you want to rub what your doing to a rare spec car in our faces. I'm not too fussed its a rarer model, just dont go shoving it in peoples faces. Thats the worst thing you can do.

At the end of the day, its your car, do what you like. Be aware though that a load of us on here are really enthusiastic about the series, and have put a lot of blood, sweat, tears and effort into building, restoring and repairing these things. We're all into different things, but this isn't the forum to go shouting about how your going to thrash it around.

Just my two pence.

I didnt realise any1 was that passionate about 300s to be honest, I thought the whole point of them was to go sideways on the cheap. Anyway every1 has their own opinion and we're all here for our love of cars, if we all had the same views then this forum would be rather boring.

For the record my mk1 escort will also be getting thrashed to fuck and going sideways and that car is my pride and joy. Some people will hate me for it but fuck it. I think its pathetic how people put their car on a trailer, take it to a show, spend all day polishing it over and over again whilst telling people how great it is, then put it back on the trailer and go back home, however if thats wot they wanna do then thats fair enough.

At the end of the day my volvo is a gl wiv extra gauges and blue stripes, if it was that special id sell it , I prob payed more than some would for it , the main thing is the car is on the road and not in the scrap yard. . . . . . Yet! 340pw

I drive my car hard on a daily basis. But I've built it from a humble saloon into a road/drift monster. It's also got 150k on the clock and isn't anything special. I more than anyone recommend that people use their cars properly but I won't sit here and read "lol theres a guy with a dustcart who wants this rare stuff". That's rubbing it in our faces that you've just destroyed a rare car that many of us would have paid decent money to save. I'd even be up for you modifying it, just not trashing it. Christ, get a proper beater if you want to do that, there's loads of standard mk3s out there.

Look, bit of advice. It's always a VERY bad idea to go on any forum geared towards a certain car (even if it was a Kia Ceed) and start talking about the demolision of rare shit. It won't go down well.

And none of us take our cars to shows on trailers.

At the risk of feeding the trolls... if I add it up I've probably put not far from that 15 grand into my 300 (ok, that's the first and last time I'll admit to it :s)

I also don't ponce about on a trailer with it, my 300 has likely seen more motorsport miles than your scrot ever will. I still take pride in beating Vauxhall engined Mk1's and 2's.

I reckon you are right, it's a hell of a lot better driving than in a scrapyard too.

However, the one thing, no matter what forum you go on, Volvo, Escort or Reliant bloody Robin.

I've never thrashed my car to anything. I drive hard, I treat it well. That's what makes an enthusiast.

Sir, I hope your other half doesnt go on the internet.
Last xmas's present is gonna look pretty feeble with 15k on the other side of the scales of justice.

Thus ends my "lightening the mood" post.

Feel free to carry on with your fevered internets moral debate.

Be warned, I'm posting t*ts if yous dont simmer down though.

hahahahaha, just when you think you might have seen it all; this thread pops up
not even gonna try and tell what i think right now, your obviously missing the point regarding a car-specified forum.
