Just managed to mod the original intercooler pipe work to a perfect fit.

How are you getting on with obtaining oil pressure?

Should be able to pop down Tuesday or Friday...?
cheers

Bump! After finding that "Itchy and Scratchy mechanics" (that would be Adam and Sam

I'm allowed to be rude about them - I spent too much of Tuesday night lying in a pool of oil! The shower ran black!) managed to mis-seat the seal on the block end of the transfer pipe (between pump and block), we re-seated it with a fresh seal, and now have lots of nice oil pressure...and there is open downpipe video lurking out there somewhere. It's running really nicely. To be fair to the guys, it's a piece of crap design, and a tricky job to install the pipe correctly...been there, done that...
Just need to reassemble the drivetrain, finish the wiring, and get an exhaust sorted out, and we're in business!
The only hurdle to correct operation remaining is the lack of space for the wastegate actuator...i.e. very little (if any) boost. The donor car was one of relatively few early 940s to be equipped with a Garrett T25 instead of the usual Mitsubishi TD04-13c, and it appears that this is not a good thing (tm) when it comes to fitment in a 360. I also think the engine mounts have done their usual saggy trick, which isn't helping. The temporary plan is to use the adapted front crossmember (with 240 mount) originally from Kev Strong's 360 Turbo, and figure out a long-term solution later. That will both locate one side of the engine correctly, and give us the clearance we need for the actuator.
cheers
James

Just been down the workshop and fitted Foggy's donation (crossmember/mount) and with a bit of beating it fit's a treat!
now we have the clearance needed for the actuator to fit, started her up and she fired spot on.
WE HAVE BOOST!!!
idles like a dream

Now to get back down there and have the fun of fitting the Prop/box/Diff as a 1man job
so by tomorrow we might have a fully working Turbo 360

sweeeeeet!!!
cheers
Adam.

Dude! That's awesome. Get some pics/video up asap.
V8 one looks cool too. Can't place the engine... rover, reliant?

They used Fords surely.
I say Rover.

I only say because I swear I've seen a flat-topped reliant engine just like that. Wasn't a v8 though I don't think.

Reliant used the Ford Essex V6 in the Scimitar, with (I think) the Cologne in the very last of the line.
That engine, however, is a Rover V8.
