I use them a lot through work, the stuff I've had back has always been top notch. No idea on pricing though!

The 360 mounts hang in compression, but engine torque will push it the opposite way on one side. I don't think the gearbox wil ever drop.Chris_C wrote:I'd be very dubious of sikaflex tbh, you need all the tensile strength you can get when hanging the gearbox.bogbasic wrote:I do have some new mounts that I bought for a 340 from volvovince on ebay a while back. Until this week I assumed that they would do for 360 but now it seems they won't, so potentially they are up for grabs. I am also thinking that maybe they can be adapted for the 360 with some fancy sikaflex moulding work?? Not quite sure if I want to part with them yet till I've seen what I have to do to the 360, but they might be available to a good home soon.

Polymax (above) do a nice range of mounts with shear strengths quoted, so maybe look at the old ones and see if something matches? I can't remember the 360 box mount well enough to be too helpful I'm afraid.
Possibly, until you jack the car up one day and have the box fall on your head. Someone will make the mount we need, so it seems pointless bodging it to me.Ride_on wrote: The 360 mounts hang in compression, but engine torque will push it the opposite way on one side. Yes but only through failure of the brackets, which is ultimately possible, is that what happened to youChris_C wrote:Possibly, until you jack the car up one day and have the box fall on your head.
