had the car on an emission machine and the c0 was about 4 which was high so the car is running rich ,

i checked my fuel pressure and it was just over 3 bar the other day is this ok or should it be about 2.5?

does any one have any other ideas ppl? it definatly feels like a misfire not a hesitation.

So the car is running rich... which is controlled by a lambda sensor. What ECU number do you have? All bar 1 require a lambda sensor.
Chris_C wrote:If you are running the ECU will expect all sensors, without the lambda it'll keep trying to get richer and richer until the sensor output see's the correct value, which if it's disconnected will be never.

As an aside, what is the S number on the ECU you are running? I'm guessing it's either ending 105 or 107, not 101 or 103?

Are there any other sensors you arn't running? I'd suggest getting it on a diagnostic machine if you have that still in the loom, will at least show what it thinks it's doing

It's the only thing I can think of, but it is really weird. Has your ECU ever been chipped? Loads of the valver ones have, normally with dubious maps from ebay...

Not super easy no, yeah, see what happens. It will run a lot better with a lambda anyway. Where abouts are you?
