How sure are you that replaceing the fuel pump will fix that problem?

And with regards to the idle, does it sound lumpy, and is it just smokey due to the oil return?

Check the wires to the sender in the boot, under the round panel. They had worked loose when I first got it. That could be causing your gauge to read wrong.

It runs an rs turbo fuel pump as the standard didn't flow enough.

Always idled fine with me, could just need a tune up and that adj fpr re adjusting?
