Would the lambda be on the downpipe? But I'm sure I only saw a middle box, and no cat between the downpipe and middle box, so I'm going for E then! Cheers all

There could be no cat because someone replaced it with a cheaper/easier to obtain normal 360 exhaust. I'm still reckoning B200E.. all of the other G reg cars I've seen have been E's. When was the car registered mate, early or late '89?

Bump!
How about the designation label on the timing belt cover? That should spell it out...unless it's been removed!
I think the lambda sensor is near the cat, not in the downpipe on 360 'F's.
Other clues....an E is less likely to have a charcoal canister for EGR (although some Es did....hmm).....and I suspect that the 'F' might not have a cold start injector (mounted to one of the centre cam cover nuts - the one with a different moulding around it) - but it doesn't use the same fuel injection computer as other models 'F's, so who knows...!
cheers
James

I reckon she's an E Foggs, there no cat, and I havn't seen anything on the timing belt cover, but will have a look!
