Sorry to hear that Mark, I hope all goes well for you.
I'm on medication for clinical depression and have been for nearly 10 years now. It keeps the physical symptoms in check, but does naff all for my state of mind , thus explaining why I'm such a negative, sarcastic, miserable git.
P.S. Shouldn't that be schnitzel und bier Tom?

Ah yes, Schnitzel, another culinary delight. Just make sure it doesn't get drowned in sauce
Cheers

Hey mate sorry to hear that, you've done well to give up and get this far in life with a good attitude and generous personality.
My parent didn't smoke, both died at 50 from the big C.
Thanks to your heroic efforts to give up, I also gave up my occassional smoking.
Tip from the New Scientist: Eat brocolli, it repairs the chemical pathways that are responsible for cleaning the lungs that are damaged by smoking.

Hi all.
Got back from Germany in one piece
Stayed in a place called Bad ouyhousen, a very clean place.
I was shocked to find someone smoking in the bar. I had to go upstairs to
the no smoking area

and this is 2012. The local soup is called Herforder
and i gave that a right bashing
We visited Bergen Belson consentration camp or what is left of it.
An errie place where mass murder took place. I think everyone should to somewhere
like that just once in there life time just to make shure it never happens again.
On a brighter note it was great to see my daughter again. Her next posting will be
in a place called Blanford in the south of England. This will give me the excuse to visit
Devon and Cornwall

Always wanted to go there.
Cheers Mark.

Welcome back
Haven't been to Bergen Belsen, Visiting Auschwitz in Poland was enough concentration camps to last me for a lifetime ... Unbelievable that there are still people around today who claim the Holocaust is a myth.
Germany's no-smoking laws are way behind the UK, even if they've tightened up a bit recently. Until very recently, all pubs and restaurants were all-smoking, now they have to declare themselves a "smoking bar" (or something like that), must serve no food, and must have only one room. Very complicated, and full of loop holes.
Cheers
Tom

There is a photo on idiotbook somewhere that either confirms or denies the above. Of all the people to look up to, someone who dug his own mine in his back garden sounds like a good place to start!

Blandford! Nice little place, let me know if you're ever visiting her - I might be down seeing the parents.
